Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to cover London and the Home Counties. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that fire alarm systems meet industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. System Commissioning: Commissioning fire alarm systems according to industry standards and client specifications.
  2. Final System Tests: Conducting final system tests to ensure full functionality.
  3. Technical Support: Providing technical support and guidance to clients and on-site teams.
  4. Documentation: Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all documentation.
  5. Liaison: Liaising with project managers, contractors, and clients for successful project completion.
  6. Training Sessions: Conducting training sessions for clients on the use and maintenance of their fire alarm systems.
  7. Issue Resolution: Identifying and resolving any issues or faults during the commissioning process.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer or similar role.
  2. Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, including conventional, addressable, and wireless systems.
  3. Relevant qualifications in fire alarm commissioning (e.g., FIA, BAFE).
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  7. Willingness to travel across London and the Home Counties.
  8. Full UK driving license.
