About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our Threat and Vulnerability team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment where you will be responsible for researching, analysing, and disseminating cyber threat data to protect QBE's global operations.

The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of the cyber threat landscape, attack types and techniques, security operations, threat intelligence, and security monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced analysis of cyber threats using proactive and reactive threat hunting methods.
  • Analyse intelligence reports and security events, providing evidence-based recommendations for countermeasures.
  • Conduct threat hunting activities and participate in incident response investigations.
  • Collect, process, and share cyber intelligence from various sources to create actionable results.
  • Monitor adversary activities and provide operational and strategic information to stakeholders.
  • Continuously assess threat landscape, exposure, and preparedness.
  • Generate regular intelligence reports on current threats and vulnerabilities for relevant stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance security and knowledge sharing.

What You'll Need:

  • Advanced understanding of tools, techniques, and procedures used by modern attackers.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks like OWASP, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and the Extended Cyber Kill Chain.
  • Proficient in risk analysis, management principles, and best practices for information systems.
  • Expertise in intelligence gathering and analysis tools, including OSINT.
  • Strong knowledge of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), malware analysis, and IOC identification.
  • Experience in using knowledge of the cyber threat landscape to deliver actionable intelligence that supports operational and strategic teams.
  • Security certifications in any of the following: SANS (GCTI, GCIH, GCIA, GPEN, GREM), ISC2 (CISSP, CCSP), CEH, CREST, OSCP or equivalent.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
