Job Summary
Harland & Wolff is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Installation Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our main machinery, shaft alignment, props, and engines. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of mechanical technicians, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained, and implementing best practices to optimize performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance operations for main machinery, shaft alignment, props, and engines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Supervise mechanical technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure effective equipment operation and maintenance.
- Develop and implement best practices to optimize equipment performance, efficiency, and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and repair activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing maintenance operations for main machinery, shaft alignment, props, and engines.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and coach team members.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
