About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Wienerberger's Goxhill site in North Lincolnshire.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out essential maintenance tasks, including:

  • Carrying out preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure the smooth operation of our plant and equipment
  • Assisting in the development of our agility maintenance system
  • Attending breakdowns and ensuring machine safety standards are maintained
  • Installing and maintaining electrical and electro-mechanical plant machinery
  • Improving factory OEE through development and innovation of the production facility
  • Operating a preventative electrical maintenance system
  • Programming Siemens and other PLC equipment
  • Using various types of testing equipment to locate and remedy faults
  • Promoting Lean thinking and actively looking for ways to improve efficiencies
  • Actively contributing to the creation and review of RA and SSOW
  • Ensuring adherence to Wienerberger's quality system and standards in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001

Key Requirements:

  • Preferably apprentice-trained or with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline
  • ONC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical engineering
  • 17th/18th edition qualified
  • Sound knowledge of Siemens PLCs, including S7 TIA portal
  • Time-served Electrician with experience of working in a manufacturing environment, ideally in heavy manufacturing or FMCG
  • Team player and strong communicator
  • Good exposure to health and safety standards
  • Excellent analytical and fault-finding/problem-solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of EHS
  • Passionate about improvement with knowledge of Lean manufacturing
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of electric motors and pneumatics
  • Sound mechanical knowledge and skills
