Job Description

As an Electrical/Electronics Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for cable assembly, wiring, functional bench-testing, fault finding, and re-work of populated PCBs. You will also assist in the maintenance and development of internal documentation.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cable Assembly/Wiring: You will be responsible for assembling and wiring electro-mechanical devices, including PLCs, to ensure they meet the required specifications.
  • PCB Testing and Re-work: You will test and re-work PCBs to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Bench-Testing: You will perform bench-testing in accordance with written test procedures to ensure the quality of our products.
  • Maintenance and Improvement of Documentation: You will maintain and improve internal documentation and systems to ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Fault Finding: You will diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to ensure our products meet the required standards.
  • Review and Improvement of Test Documents: You will review and improve test documents and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Final Assembly of Electronics-Based Products: You will be responsible for the final assembly of electronics-based products to ensure they meet the required specifications.
  • Health and Safety: You will be aware of company health and safety requirements and ensure you follow them at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have a suitable qualification and/or relevant experience in electronics manufacturing, cable assembly, and PCB testing. You will also have a sound understanding of basic in-circuit components, ability to understand and follow simple wiring and circuit diagrams, working knowledge of digital and analogue electronics and systems, and high-level practical experience in a test and manufacturing environment.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £29,000-£31,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, life insurance, share incentive plan, and private medical insurance, including dental cover.
