Job Description

We are seeking an Event Catering Coordinator to join our team at Brook Street. This role will provide opportunities to develop your skills in event management, customer service, and teamwork. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for supporting our catering team, ensuring seamless event execution and delivering an outstanding experience for clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain hospitality areas on all 5 floors, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to manage event logistics, including menu planning, room setup, and supplies.
  • Liaise with the facilities manager to ensure smooth department administration and ad-hoc duties are completed efficiently.
  • Prepare refreshments for meeting rooms, following a scheduled program.
  • Assist with catering stock control, organizing supplies, and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Support the clearing, washing, and polishing of crockery and glassware after each event.
  • Set up meeting rooms with catering requirements and assist the post team as needed.
  • Lift and move boxes within manual handling guidelines.
  • Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Requirements
  • Catering experience in a corporate environment is essential.
  • Flexible attitude, prioritizing tasks and working under pressure to meet business needs.
  • Able to maintain a professional demeanor, even in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills, confident in interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic level of Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
