Waste Management Operative

We are seeking a skilled Class 2 HGV driver to join our team in the Sheffield area. As a Refuse Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle in small crews, managing your own route, and ensuring the safe transportation of waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
- Manage your own route, ensuring timely collection and delivery of waste
- Monitor the on-board computer to prevent overloading
- Assist the loading team as needed
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with C entitlement
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Valid CPC
- At least 12 months Class 2 driving experience
- No more than 6 points on licence
- No DD or DR driving convictions
Working Conditions
This is a permanent position offering regular full-time hours. You will work Monday to Friday, with shifts starting at 06:30. The pay rate for this role is £14.55, with time and a half paid after 8 hours per day. Any work on weekends or bank holidays is paid at double time. You will also accrue holidays, up to 28 per year pro rata.
