Job Description

We are currently recruiting Generator Service Engineers. This is a superb opportunity for driven and motivated professionals to join our team through this rapid period of growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in servicing generators, time served as a Mechanical/Electrical engineer or qualified to NVQ level 3, and familiarity with electronics & mechanical components (including engines and Alternators).

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing both planned and reactive service and maintenance of generators.
  • Conducting fault diagnosis and carrying out breakdown repairs.
  • Collaborating with Service Coordinators at our head office for efficient planning.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Participating in the regional on-call rotation (approximately 1 in 6 on average).
  • Adhering to the company's H&S, environmental, and quality management systems.
  • Accurate recording keeping using the company's bespoke management system.
  • Working closely internally, to ensure jobs are within budget and on time.

Requirements

  • Experience in servicing generators is highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Time served as Mechanical/Electrical engineer or qualified to NVQ level 3.
  • Familiar with electronics & mechanical components (including engines and Alternators).
  • Be able to understand and complete risk assessments.
  • Any experience in a mobile engineering position is attractive.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with communicating via telephone and face-to-face.
  • The capability to deal with a variety of customers from different industries.
