Sweco Building Control, a leading consultancy in England and Wales, provides market-leading expertise as a Corporate Approved Inspector since 1998. We pride ourselves on quality and technical expertise, listening to clients and working in partnership to deliver projects successfully.

We seek a motivated Senior Building Control Surveyor to join our South England team, based in Maidenhead but operating a hybrid model with 3 days in-office or on-site and 2 days at home (depending on site visits and client meetings).

Our services are underpinned by quality and technical expertise. Our approach is to listen and engage with clients to anticipate regulatory issues and work in partnership to deliver successful projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Undertaking plan checks for Building Regulation approval.
  2. Conducting site visits, preparing reports, and witnessing tests (requiring a full, valid driving license).
  3. Attending client and design team meetings to provide professional advice on building control work.
  4. Familiarity with and use of management systems, including Quality Management.
  5. Operating in accordance with commercial project requirements (costs and program).

To succeed in this role, you'll have a MRICS, MCABE, or MCIOB qualification (or be working towards) and experience in a similar position. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to develop the business by introducing new clients and expanding workload are essential.
