Care Home Deputy Manager Job Description

Estimated salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our care home team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist nursing support and advice, supervising colleagues, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical care.

You will work closely with the Home Manager to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents. Your expertise in person-centred care planning and your knowledge of National Standards and the NMC code of practice will be invaluable assets to our team.

The successful candidate will have a valid NMC Pin, a background in person-centred care planning, and experience working in a care home setting. You will also be able to recognize signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect and know what to do if there are any concerns.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide specialist nursing support and advice to residents and colleagues.
  2. Supervise and coach colleagues to ensure the highest standards of clinical care.
  3. Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents.
  4. Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth running of the care home.
