About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Cardiologist to join our expanding team at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our cardiology service, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive general cardiology service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-quality cardiology service to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular conditions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to maintain and improve service standards.
Requirements
  • MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCP UK or equivalent specialist registration.
  • Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register at time of application.
  • Depth and breadth of clinical experience in Cardiology and General Medicine.
  • A special interest that will complement those existing in the department.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • An appropriate higher degree or qualification (MD, PhD or equivalent).
  • Experience at locum or substantive consultant level.
  • Postgraduate qualification in medical teaching.
