We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating nutritious and flavoursome menus for our residents, working closely with the Head Chef to ensure that all food safety standards are met.

You will also be responsible for managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, assisting with menu development, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal ingredients, develop your culinary skills, and contribute to the success of our organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
  • A good understanding of nutrition
  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
  • Confidence engaging with residents to create appetising and nutritious menus
  • Good understanding of HACCP
