We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Children's Residential Support Worker to join our OUTSTANDING rated 4-bed children's residential service in Herefordshire.

The ideal candidate will be committed to enabling children and young people who have been taken into care to have the best possible start in life.

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for engaging, encouraging, and mentoring the young people, while promoting their independence and well-being.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Encouraging the young people to take responsibility for their own lives.
  • Maintaining a homely, friendly culture and environment in the home.
  • Dealing with challenging behaviours when needed.
  • Protecting children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Providing support for the children and young people in the home.

We offer a comprehensive training package, including scheduled ongoing face-to-face training and CPD planning.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or within a similar social care setting.
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a car.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
