About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Civil Engineering Apprentice to join our Water team in a diverse range of projects. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to deliver innovative solutions for water management.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for undertaking technical and feasibility studies to evaluate the practicality of solutions for potable water, foul water, surface water, and attenuation requirements.
  • You will produce designs for water infrastructure, such as pump systems and pipe networks, with a focus on safety in design.
  • You will develop numerical analysis skills using computer-based programs to study potable, surface, and wastewater systems.
  • You will stay up-to-date with regulatory legislation and guidelines affecting design work.

Requirements
  • You should have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Mathematics and English.
  • You should have three A-Levels (or equivalent) including Maths and a physical science at grade C or above.
  • Some work experience or shadowing in an engineering environment would be an advantage.
  • You should demonstrate an interest and desire to pursue a career in Traffic Engineering.
  • You should show an aptitude towards software-based engineering and drawing, e.g., Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other similar 3D software.
