Job Opportunity at Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking experienced Healthcare Support Workers to join our team at Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our Registered Nurses and Nursing Associates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing direct patient care, including meeting hygiene, continence, nutrition, pressure area care, and mobility needs.
  • Providing one-to-one observation for patients who present a high risk of harm and vulnerable patients.
  • Undertaking training and competencies related to the role, such as ECGs, venepuncture, and cannulation.
  • Training and supporting new and junior team members.
  • Supporting the registered nursing team in providing high-quality pre and post-operative care.
Requirements:
  • Recent and previous NHS experience as a healthcare support worker for a minimum of six months.
  • Successfully achieved the Care Certificate within an NHS setting.
