Job Overview

Rullion Limited is seeking a highly skilled APQP Engineer to join their global client's team in Worcester. As part of the operations team, this individual will play a key role in defining methods for their manufacturing process at their additive manufacturing business.

About the Role

This is an ASAP start, initially for 12 months, and is outside IR35. The successful candidate will require a DBS check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement defined techniques, SOPs, work instructions, and processes to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering personnel on new product development and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to problem-solving issues that arise in manufacturing.
  • Support daily production issues and continuous improvement.

Your Key Accountabilities:

  • Spearhead the development of the APQP process.
  • Provide Quality Engineering support for NPI projects, including hosting cross-functional sessions, facilitating APQP activities such as risk assessment, FMEA, and control plan development, creating and maintaining quality plans to ensure conformance to customer specifications and internal standards, supporting capability studies and lead root cause investigations of manufacturing issues.

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience in this field, with knowledge of APQP methodologies and problem-solving tools.
  • Proficient with MS packages and ERP systems.
  • Experience executing APQP projects for high-volume production manufacturing facilities.
  • Experience delivering validation packages to external customers.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Able to interpret customer specifications.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Self-motivated and methodical approach.
  • Committed to continuous improvement.

Benefits:

The salary for this position is £92,000 per annum, equivalent to £23 per hour, plus benefits.
