Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work on a variety of projects in different key sectors such as Healthcare, Higher Education, Science & Research, Transport, and Commercial.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the development of initial engineering concepts through to the delivery of detailed designs and specifications.
  2. Undertake site surveys and investigations, and see your designs become a reality.
  3. Contribute to developing the design of engineering solutions and systems within the built environment, preparing plans, specifications, and schedules.
  4. Create reports to support design concepts that show compliance with standards and best practice.
  5. Inspect installations reviewing progress, quality, and performance.
Requirements:
  1. Prior experience at another multi-disciplinary, building services, or engineering consultancy.
  2. Software package knowledge: AutoCAD and/or Amtech, BIM, Relux, Dialux, IES.
  3. Professional qualifications such as a degree/HND in BSc/BEng(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services Engineering or similar.
  4. Working towards or a Member or Associate of Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).
  5. A clear understanding of the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical building services within the built environment.
  6. Project Leading/Client Facing experience would be advantageous.
