Mechanical Design Engineer Opportunity

A dynamic company in Essex is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing automated machinery systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and schematics
  • Collaborate with the Drawing Office Department on site surveys and other tasks
  • Manage version control using AutoDesk Vault Data Management software

Requirements:

  • Experience in automated production machinery environment
  • Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Understanding of technical and safety standards, such as BS 8888 and ATEX
  • Recognized engineering certification or apprenticeship
  • Strong understanding of conveyor, airflow, and ductwork designs and calculations

Location: Essex, with easy commutability from Southend-on-Sea, Chelmsford, Billericay, and Tilbury.

Additional Information: This role would be suitable for candidates with experience or interest in Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Design Engineer, or Engineering Technician roles.
