Job Title: Band 5 Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 5 Nurse to join our Outpatient Nursing Team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated nurse to work in a dynamic and innovative department. As a Band 5 Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan patient care, evaluating progress and making adjustments as needed
  • Provide wound care, including complex dressings and removal of clips and sutures
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Develop and maintain accurate patient records
  • Participate in mentoring and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Registration on Part 1 or 12 of the NMC Register (RGN/RN Adult) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience in an acute area or wound care role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
