Job Title: Band 5 Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Band 5 Nurse to join our Outpatient Nursing Team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in wound care and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess and plan patient care, evaluating progress to ensure the care remains appropriate
  • Deliver evidence-based wound care, including complex dressings and removal of clips and sutures
  • Supervise and mentor staff, including students and unqualified staff
  • Work effectively and efficiently within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a suitable and stimulating learning environment for all staff
Requirements:
  • Registration on Part 1 or 12 of NMC Register (RGN/RN Adult) or equivalent
  • Diploma/Degree in relevant subject
  • Mentoring and Assessing course
  • Evidence of ability to teach in practice
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year post-registration in an acute area or in a wound care role
  • Evidence of supervising staff
  • Delivering care as planned and in keeping with the needs of the patient
  • Evidence of delegating workload and monitoring progress
  • Experience of handling difficult situations
