Job Role Overview

Nala is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development and delivery of our work-based learning programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing apprenticeships and other workplace learning opportunities to meet employer and learner needs.

Main Responsibilities

The primary duties of this role include:

  • Developing strategies to increase employer engagement and business development to drive apprenticeship growth.
  • Ensuring an effective response to employer needs through various funding sources, including Apprenticeships and full-cost work.
  • Developing opportunities for the College to benefit from relationships with employers through curriculum advice, work placement, and job opportunities.
  • Promoting apprenticeships through careers events and school visits.

Curriculum Development

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and designing all aspects of the work-based curriculum, ensuring that workplace, qualification, and framework requirements are met. This includes:

  • Planning and managing resources effectively to deliver employer and qualification/framework requirements.
  • Oversight of Centre Co-ordination for awarding organisations and Lead Internal Verifier/Quality Assurer activities for programmes.
  • Ensuring robust quality assurance procedures are in place and regularly reviewed.
  • Supporting work placements for full-time learners.
  • Developing new training and apprenticeship programmes to meet employer need and demand.
  • Promoting the use of technology and e-learning in training delivery, assessment, and review processes.
