Airedale by Modine is seeking a highly skilled Export Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our global supply chain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient export of our products to customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal departments, including Sales, Spares Order Processing, and Manufacturing, to progress export orders and ensure timely shipment.
- Communicate effectively with customers to keep them informed of order progress and shipment details.
- Negotiate freight rates with forwarders and agents, balancing cost and delivery speed.
- Ensure compliance with current legislation and regulations for export shipments, including Pre-Inspections and Chamber documentation.
- Manage certification and legalization requirements through the local Chamber of Commerce.
- Verify and sign off invoices from freight forwarders and agents to ensure accuracy and adherence to agreed rates.
- Provide cover for the UK Shipping Team in the event of absence.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Experience in export shipping, preferably with knowledge of Incoterms.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with customers, both internally and externally.
