Senior Fire Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Fire Safety Engineer to lead a team of fire assessors and support the development of nuclear safety cases. This role offers a unique opportunity to tackle technical challenges across projects that range from the construction of new facilities to decommissioning older ones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead fire safety assessments, develop fire strategies, and produce Fire Hazard Assessments for nuclear safety cases.
- Collaborate with facility and project managers to deliver efficient, cost-effective fire engineering solutions.
- Manage and guide a small team of fire assessors.
- Engage with senior management and regulators on fire safety engineering matters.
- Provide technical leadership on fire modelling, thermal properties, and design fire specifications.
Requirements:
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in a science or engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in fire safety and fire-engineered solutions.
- Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and fire engineering software.
- Strong interpersonal, report writing, and presentation skills.
