Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional needs and mental health challenges in primary schools across Eastbourne and Hailsham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with additional needs and mental health challenges in a primary school setting
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of individual children
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, teachers, and other school staff
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of children's mental health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with children, teachers, and other school staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
