Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Inclusion Support Worker to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Wakefield. The successful candidate will have a background in working with vulnerable children, particularly those with emotional dysregulation and challenging behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with severe emotional dysregulation and challenging behavior
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and other staff members
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery to meet the needs of students
- Provide individualized support to students to help them overcome social difficulties and emotional challenges
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students
Requirements:
- Level 2 teaching assistant or above, Diploma in Youth work or equivalent, Degree in Education or psychology
- Experience working with vulnerable children, particularly those with emotional dysregulation and challenging behavior
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current DBS subscription or willingness to obtain one
