Job Title: Full-Time EYFS Support Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team in Burnley. This full-time position begins in February 2025 and offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the foundational years of a child's education.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for early years education and experience in supporting young learners. They will be skilled in creating engaging, age-appropriate activities and able to provide targeted support to children in developing their phonics skills.
The successful applicant will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality EYFS provision, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that meets the individual needs of all pupils. They will also assist in monitoring and recording children's progress, sharing insights with the teaching team and parents where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities that cater to the diverse needs of young learners.
- Provide targeted support to children in developing their phonics skills, ensuring every child progresses in their literacy journey.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that meets the individual needs of all pupils.
- Help to monitor and record children's progress, sharing insights with the teaching team and parents where necessary.
Requirements:
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of phonics and experience supporting children's early reading development. They will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.
