Maths Teaching Assistant Role

Are you passionate about Maths and looking for a challenging role where you can make a difference in the lives of students?

We are seeking a Maths Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Mainstream Secondary School in Merton. As a Maths Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the Maths Teacher and Maths Head Of Department to support students with Maths. You will be required to work 1-1 with pupils needing extra support and may also work in small groups.

The school is a 'Outstanding' Mixed Mainstream Secondary school, part of an academy. The pupils aged between 11-18 years old. There are 1300 pupils that attend the school. The school hours are 8.30-15.30, and there is parking on site and local transport links.

We are looking for a Maths Graduate who has experience supporting pupils with Maths such as tutoring. If you are passionate about Maths and have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of students, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support students with Maths in a 1-1 setting and in small groups
* Work closely with the Maths Teacher and Maths Head Of Department to develop and implement Maths lessons
* Assist with the preparation and marking of Maths materials

Requirements:

* Maths Graduate with experience supporting pupils with Maths
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
