Registered Pharmacy Technician - Clinical Trials Service

We are looking for a suitably qualified individual to fill a Clinical Trials and Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician role within the Transformation Unit.

This is an exciting opportunity to acquire new skills in a specialized area of pharmacy, working closely with the Medicines Management team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the efficient receipt, supply, checking, delivery, return, and disposal of clinical trial medications, along with maintaining accurate accountability records.
  • Providing support and guidance to staff under supervision, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Coordinating external monitoring and audits of clinical trial activities, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
  • Delivering a high-quality technical pharmacy service to designated wards and departments, meeting customer needs.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Possession of a BTEC Professional Development Certificate in Dispensing Technician Checking.
  • A thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical practices relevant to the clinical trials service, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Proven supervisory experience, with a track record of success.
  • Strong keyboard skills and computer experience, with proficiency in relevant software applications.
Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this position is £30,885. The salary range is £29,970 - £36,483 per annum, based on experience.
