Key Responsibilities

  • Operate state-of-the-art flatbed Class 1 vehicles, securing loads with ratchet straps.
  • Transport timber goods from mills to customer sites, adhering to strict safety and delivery schedules.
  • Work collaboratively with the General Haulage team to ensure efficient and effective transportation operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of HGV experience.
  • Timber experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience with ratchet and strapping is preferred.
  • Valid LGV/HGV Class 1 C+E License.
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • No more than 9 penalty points.

Working Conditions

This is an ongoing role with work commencing immediately. The working hours will be Monday to Friday, averaging 10 hour shifts. You will leave the Boston site on Monday and return on Friday, with night out all week.

Compensation

The hourly rate is £17.00 per hour PAYE, plus 28 days holiday per year pro rata. The hourly rate via Umbrella is £20.57 per hour. You will also receive £24 per night out.
