Join Our Team as a Research Scientist Intern in Machine Learning and Character Animation

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Scientist Intern to join our team at Meta, working on cutting-edge research and development in machine learning and character animation. As a Research Scientist Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with a world-class team of researchers and engineers, and contribute to the development of innovative technologies that will shape the future of augmented and virtual reality.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement novel research ideas and algorithms in machine learning and character animation
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers across various disciplines to develop and integrate new technologies
  • Communicate research progress and results through presentations and publications
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or has completed a PhD in Computer Graphics, Character Animation, Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields
  • Experience with technical character animation, machine learning, and programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or C#
  • Strong research and development skills, with a proven track record of achieving results in top-tier conferences and journals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship
  • Experience with character animation and/or physical simulation, human motion synthesis, editing, and retargeting, reinforcement learning, self-supervised learning, computer vision, 2D generative modeling, physics simulator, developing in game engines and/or 3D software
  • Proven track record of achieving results in top-tier conferences and journals
