Mechanical Design Engineer - A Key Role at Automation Experts

Company Overview: Automation Experts is a leading company in the design and assembly of complex automated machinery.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Essex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment using 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, schematics, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Drawing Office Department to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Manage version control using AutoDesk Vault Data Management software.

Requirements:

  • Experience in automated production machinery environment.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Understanding of technical and safety standards, such as BS 8888 and ATEX.
  • Recognized engineering certification or apprenticeship.
  • Strong understanding of conveyor, airflow, and ductwork designs and calculations.
