Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal to join our Residential Conveyancing team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing files, obtaining title deeds, preparing contract documentation, and progressing transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage files throughout the transaction in accordance with procedures.
  2. Obtain title deeds, Land Registry title, and plans.
  3. Prepare Contract documentation.
  4. Obtain searches and replies to property questionnaires.
  5. Check post and deal with matters arising.
  6. Independently deal with general enquiries by email or telephone and keep all parties informed.
  7. Progress transactions, keeping all parties up to date.
  8. Prepare Completion Statements and complete transactions.
  9. Deal with post completion of files.
  10. Manage key dates.
  11. Manage updates to lenders, including LMS Stars and Lender Exchange Portals.
  12. Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and solicitors.
  13. Closing files and managing residual balances promptly.
  14. Conduct legal research.
  15. Ensure all client details are kept up to date.
  16. Manage diaries.
  17. Scan and copy documents.
  18. Audit typing as required.
  19. Fully utilise Case Management Systems capabilities.
  20. Use Land Registry Portal, SDLT, Word, Outlook, and other computer packages as appropriate.
  21. Support other fee earners within the department as and when required.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Conveyancing.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively with the rest of the team.
  • Persistence and commitment to completing tasks and objectives.
  • The ability to work at speed producing a high volume of work to a high standard.
  • An excellent telephone manner.
  • The ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Prioritisation skills.
  • Confidence using Case Management Systems, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • Outstanding organisational skills.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to use initiative.
  • A commitment to maintaining high client care standards.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise effectively.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join our team and contribute to our success. The salary range for this position is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience.
