Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wastewater Network Modeller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and calibrating hydraulic models of wastewater networks using industry-standard software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and calibrate hydraulic models of wastewater networks using industry-standard software.
  • Perform complex analyses to simulate various operational scenarios and predict network performance under different conditions.
  • Identify and evaluate network deficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct capacity assessments and identify potential risks to inform maintenance and investment planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and planners, to integrate modelling outcomes into broader project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in wastewater network modelling and management.
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops, and site visits to gather data, understand project requirements, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and methodologies to continually enhance modelling capabilities and project outcomes.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient and successful completion of modelling tasks.

Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, or another relevant subject.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience applying technical skills to the water industry.
  • Experience of working in an urban drainage environment.
  • ICE, CIWEM (Bonus)
