Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Healthcare Professional to join our team in the 0-19 Children's and Young People Public Health Service. Based in Abingdon and surrounding areas, this role will involve working with children up to 8 years of age, providing health-related episodes of care to support areas such as behavior, diet, and sleep.

The successful candidate will be based within a locality (neighborhood) and work with the 0-19 teams in that area, supporting county-wide work where needed. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, families, primary care, schools, and other partner agencies.

Main Responsibilities
  • To contribute to the safe and effective delivery of the 0-19 service, working under the delegation of a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
  • To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate family-focused care, working in partnership with other agencies.
  • To undertake Healthy Child Programme developmental and transitional assessments and planning, delivering and evaluating public health initiatives through community-based health promotion activities.

This role is an excellent opportunity to engage in professional and leadership development, working with experienced professionals in the field. The salary for this position is £34,800 - £44,884 per annum, depending on experience.
