About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our site services team, where you will be responsible for developing our newly released Android Sports Native App alongside our award-winning website.

About the Team:

You will be working collaboratively with a growing team of talented developers who are responsible for the Native App development, delivering award-winning user interfaces, interactivity, and unparalleled performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a large and ever-expanding Kotlin codebase and our in-house framework to enhance our Sports App.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality features, resolve issues, and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless delivery through the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Act as a leader and mentor to other team members, providing guidance and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android libraries, APIs, and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in writing code using Kotlin or Java in Android Studio.
  • Proven working experience with modern Android libraries and APIs.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Experience with unit testing, including testing frameworks such as Espresso.
  • Knowledge of web technologies, Chrome Web Inspector, or Android WebView APIs.
  • Ability to debug and address memory and performance issues.
