Job Summary:

NHS Fife is seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our reception team as a Reception Team Member. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, handling administrative tasks, and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Manage the smooth flow of patients through the practice, ensuring timely appointments and efficient use of resources.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with our team, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work flexibly to cover staff absences, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting or customer-facing role is essential.
  • Competency in using GP clinical systems is advantageous.
