Job Summary

Dragados UK is seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety and Working at Height Coordinator to oversee fire coordination and working at heights on the HS2 project at Curzon Street.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fire Safety: Ensure fire safety measures are implemented and adhered to on the construction site, preventing and managing fire incidents, safeguarding personnel, equipment, and property.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans in coordination with relevant authorities, conduct fire drills and training sessions to prepare personnel for emergencies.
  • Firefighting Equipment Maintenance: Maintain firefighting equipment and ensure its readiness for use.
Working at Height Responsibilities
  • Working at Height Coordination: Ensure that the project's work at height activities are in line with the Working at Height Standard, preventing and managing working at height incidents.
  • Coordination with Subcontractors: Close coordination with project subcontractors and key members of the MDJV team, such as the fire coordinator, security coordinator, construction lead, and logistics lead.
  • Working at Height Plan Development: Coordinate the development of the project working at height plan in line with the Working at Height Standard.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Good Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fire Safety Knowledge: Understanding of and compliance with the MDJV Fire Standard and Working at Height Standard.
  • Working at Height Experience: Experience and history of working at height activities, such as scaffolding.
  • IT Skills: Ability to use IT systems, including Yellowjacket management systems.
  • Leadership Skills: Team and leadership skills, management, and supervisor experience.
