Maintenance Controller Job Description

Kemp Recruitment is seeking a skilled Maintenance Controller to join their team. As a key member of the operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's tool, plant, and powered access hire fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enquiry Handling: Respond to hire and service enquiries from customers via phone, email, and online ordering system.
  • Breakdown Management: Manage calls from customers and coordinate with engineers to attend breakdowns promptly.
  • Job Card Management: Update job cards on the internal database and allocate jobs efficiently.
  • Machine Availability: Check the availability of machines and ensure their status is up-to-date in the system.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with the engineering and transport teams to ensure the correct machines are ready and delivered to customer sites.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide a helpful and friendly point of contact for depot enquiries.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the Plant, Powered Access, Tool, or Material Handling industries.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
