Maintenance Controller Job Description

Kemp Recruitment is seeking a skilled Maintenance Controller to join their team. As a key member of the operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enquiry Handling: Respond to hire and service enquiries from customers via various channels, ensuring prompt and efficient communication.
  • Breakdown Management: Manage calls from customers and coordinate with engineers to resolve breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Job Card Management: Update job cards on the internal database and allocate tasks effectively to ensure seamless operations.
  • Machine Availability: Monitor the availability of equipment and tools, ensuring their status is up-to-date in the company's systems.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with the engineering and transport teams to ensure the correct equipment is ready and delivered to customer sites.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent communication and support to colleagues and customers, ensuring a helpful and friendly point of contact.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the Plant, Powered Access, Tool, or Material Handling industries.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
