Cardiologist Specialist

This is a new substantive appointment to the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, designed to deliver on-demand services and contribute to the expansion and improvement of Cardiology services.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute fully to the general cardiology service, including participation in a heart attack centre pPCI role.
- Provide coronary intervention sessions and contribute to the development of cardiac services.
- Work closely with other medical, professional, and managerial colleagues to ensure high-quality healthcare for the Trust's patients.
- Participate in clinical governance, audits, and departmental activities, sharing leadership and responsibility for the specialty's Trust-wide activities.
- Take an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, training, and supervision, as well as the management of junior medical staff.
- Essential qualifications: MB BS (or equivalent), registered with GMC, possession or within 6 months of CCT, and evidence of modular training in coronary intervention.
- Desirable qualifications: distinctions, scholarships, prizes, other degrees (e.g., BSc, MSc, MD), evidence of participation in audit projects, personal research projects, and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
