Willmott Dixon is seeking a Regional Head of Land and Development to drive growth and success in our Northern region. As a key member of our development solutions team, you will focus on expanding our order book of development-led opportunities and supporting the company's growth.

You will report to the National Head of Development and collaborate with our national development solutions team to engage with new business and delivery teams in the North region (North West, Yorkshire, and North East). Ideally based in the region, you should be prepared to travel and split your time between home, our offices (Manchester, Leeds, Gateshead), and visiting sites/customers.

Growth Objectives
  • Grow the Northern development solutions pipeline in conjunction with the national lead and regional teams, establishing key targets and pipeline opportunities aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage development opportunity-related bids and feasibilities to successful outcomes.
  • Represent Willmott Dixon development solutions publicly and develop new relationships to grow the team and our reputation.
  • Collaborate with and support other regional development managers to grow their pipeline, including business development, bids, tenders, and attending events.
  • Manage relationships with regional development customers, partners, and frameworks.
Maintenance and Delivery
  • Work with existing development and preconstruction teams to manage, maintain, and deliver the existing pipeline of development projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, funders, and other stakeholders to deliver projects to site and successful outcomes for our customers.
  • Establish and create development management services solutions for customers and deliver the service through to project completion.
  • Create and maintain development appraisals on schemes, reporting internally and externally as required.
  • Manage consultant relationships on projects and identify and mitigate risks/opportunities to eliminate risk and optimize returns.

Key requirements for the role include a passion for creatively identifying new opportunities, experience working in a development-related function, strong business development skills, commercial acumen, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of public partnering contractual arrangements, funding routes, and a network of customer and consultant contacts are also essential.
