At Firstbus, we are seeking a highly skilled vehicle technician to join our team in Kings Lynn. As a valued member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of our public service vehicles.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £18.00, reflecting the importance of this role in maintaining our fleet's high standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining our fleet of vehicles to the highest standard, including fault diagnosis, vehicle safety inspections, breakdowns, and preventive maintenance.
- Operating the depot forklift after undergoing comprehensive training.
- Ensuring full compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) legislation, as well as Group Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintaining and developing technical skills as required.
To support you in your role, we provide all necessary tools and equipment, including overalls.
This position is based in Kings Lynn, with occasional requirements to work at our Norwich depots.
We require:
- A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualification.
- The ability to multi-skill within an engineering environment.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including shifts agreed over five days out of seven.
- An aptitude to develop others within the engineering team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and superiors.
- A PCV licence is desirable, but the ability to obtain one is essential.
