About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Oldham. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for conducting child and family assessments, formulating plans, and providing early interventions to support children and families at a Child in Need level.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessment and Intervention: Conduct child and family assessments, formulate plans, and provide early interventions to support children and families at a Child in Need level.
* Safeguarding and Care Planning: Lead longer-term interventions, particularly in Child Protection and Children Looked After cases. Work on assessments, chair meetings, and attend court.
* Permanence: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in care, handle placement issues, and focus on long-term care plans.
* Children with Disabilities: Manage cases from assessment to court proceedings, working closely with children with disabilities and their families, including transition to adult services.
