About the Role

The Christie NHS FT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 3 PA to join their SACT team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the SACT Management team, ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the team's operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule meetings and appointments to fit with other standing diary commitments
  • Attend relevant SACT and divisional level meetings to take minutes and prepare documents for distribution
  • Organise and plan diaries, ensuring effective communication with other departments and external agencies
  • Deal professionally with all telephone calls from relatives and patients, maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Manage unpredictable patterns of working due to variable meeting times
  • Ensure office supplies are adequate and maintained, and items are ordered for the SACT treatment floor as needed
  • Comply with audit requests for information and provide cover for colleagues across the division in times of sickness and annual leave

Person Specification

  • Good standard of education to GCSE level
  • Experience of administrative or clerical work, preferably within a healthcare system
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes
  • Ability to prioritise workload and use initiative
