Job Title: Construction Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Professional to join our team at Michael Dyson Associates Ltd. As a key member of our construction consultancy, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to our clients in the public housing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Contract Administrator, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Prepare specifications and schedules of work, ensuring that they meet the client's requirements and are in line with industry standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure that the work is being carried out in accordance with the contract.
  • Manage quality, ensuring that all work meets the required standards and that any issues are promptly addressed.
  • Attend site meetings, liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered smoothly.
  • Control costs, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and that any variances are promptly addressed.
  • Coordinate design, ensuring that all aspects of the project are integrated and that the final product meets the client's requirements.
  • Act as CDM Consultant/Principal Designer, ensuring that all health and safety requirements are met and that the project is delivered in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct Party Wall Act surveys and property surveys, providing expert advice to clients on matters related to property and construction.

Requirements:

  • RICS or CIOB accredited construction degree.
  • 3 years post-qualification experience, ideally in both new build and refurbishment projects.
  • At least 1-2 years of managing own projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and service delivery on a project-by-project basis.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK to meetings and sites.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Up to 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
