Care Worker for Children with Complex Needs

About Us:

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Bank Children's Support Workers to join our team in Runcorn area. As a champion of care, you will embody our values; teamwork, passion, innovation, humility, trust and accountability.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to children with complex needs
- Facilitate activities and promote personal care
- Build positive relationships with children, families and professionals involved in their care
- Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to relevant parties
- Implement best practice throughout all areas of the care package
- Show a genuine desire to better the life of each young person
About You:
- You must be able to work 24 hour shifts and a rolling rota of 2 shifts on 4 off
- You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient and empathetic towards children with complex needs
- Able to work in a team and follow guidelines and procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Your Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care would be advantageous
- 1 or more years of experience working with children with disabilities and/or challenging behaviour
- An understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding
- Having an Enhanced Adults and Children's DBS on the update service would be beneficial
- You should be a driver with business insurance or willing to add
About the Role:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: From £14.00 per hour
