We are seeking a highly skilled Datacentre Technician to join our operations team at Equinix. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining critical facilities infrastructure and delivering best-in-class service to our data center customers.
Key Responsibilities- Review and respond to work order requests in a timely manner, adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Escalate and expedite orders to appropriate teams as needed, ensuring adherence to commit times.
- Maintain detailed written records of all work activity and update local asset databases and other systems.
- Support semi-routine customer equipment installations, including rack and stack, fiber tray installations, and cable management.
- Assist with cross-connect work order requests, including installs, terminations, modifications, and testing.
- Support testing and troubleshooting of customer assets, including layer 1 cross-connect certification testing.
- Provide excellent customer service and support, ensuring timely adherence to execution order requirements.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a high school diploma and 1-2 years of equivalent work experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
