Senior Town Planner Opportunity in Aberdeen

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join our team in Aberdeen. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects across various sectors while advancing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Role

As a Senior Town Planner, you will be a key player in delivering complex planning projects, managing applications, and providing strategic advice to clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals for diverse projects
  2. Advising clients on planning strategies and navigating local planning policies
  3. Leading consultations with local authorities and key stakeholders
  4. Mentoring and supporting junior staff members
  5. Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development
Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Chartered membership of the RTPI (or close to obtaining chartership)
  2. Extensive knowledge of Scottish planning policies and procedures
  3. Proven experience in a town planning role, preferably within a consultancy or local authority
  4. Strong communication and project management skills
  5. The ability to manage multiple projects effectively and work to tight deadlines
