Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of healthcare professionals as a Nutrition Nurse Specialist. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to provide specialist nutrition nursing to patients receiving home enteral tube feeding in Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring effective patient-centred service delivery within the financial and workforce resources.
  • Coordinate the Community Nutrition Nurse Service, ensuring efficient delivery of specialist nutrition nursing to patients in their homes.
  • Develop and implement service development and improvement initiatives, working closely with dietetic colleagues to ensure a patient-centred service is delivered.
  • Provide training and education to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals on enteral nutrition and related topics.

Requirements
  • Nurse registration and MSc or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience in enteral nutrition nursing and significant post-registration experience.
  • Excellent communication, IT, and presentation skills, with evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Independent prescribing qualification.
  • Autonomy with caseload management.
  • Service development, R&D, and presentation skills.
