About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our team in Kidlington, near Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality of materials supplied meets our needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Approved Supplier List, verifying supplier quality standards and tracking, qualifying, or disqualifying suppliers according to Bio-Rad standards.
  • Develop and implement supplier management programs, including periodic business reviews and/or audits.
  • Assist with the implementation and management of a Contract Management tool.
  • Review and manage existing Supplier Agreements, including price updates and validity periods, and maintain accurate supplier records.
  • Manage the new Agreement implementation process.
  • Generate and implement cost reduction ideas.
  • Write and maintain SOPs relevant to supplier management programs.

Requirements:

  • Degree-educated (Life Science desirable) with a minimum of 2 years' experience within an engineering, quality assurance, and/or manufacturing supplier quality environment, preferably within the Life Sciences Industries.
  • Strong communication skills: ability to clearly communicate information and data; strong oral and written communication and presentation skills to communicate with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Strong organisational skills: ability to manage multiple projects concurrently to meet internal timelines; organised and resourceful, high attention to detail with an ability to work to demanding targets and tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to perform statistical reporting and composing logical, detailed, and analytical reports; ability to develop and implement strategies to improve supplier relationships; ability to challenge and effectively improve current practices.
  • Ability to operate independently and remain aligned to different stakeholders in a global matrixed organisation.
  • Internal or external audit training and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • System knowledge: Must - Microsoft Excel; Desired - Power BI and LinkSquares.

Estimated Salary:$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
